Garvary Wind Farm 2019 Scoping Exercise 12 June 2019

On 12th February 2018, an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Scoping Report and a request for an EIA Scoping Opinion was submitted to the Scottish Government Energy Consents Unit. An EIA Scoping Opinion was subsequently provided by the Scottish Ministers on1 1th April 2018. Following the receipt of the EIA Scoping Opinion, we have continued to progress the proposals including undertaking various environmental and technical studies. Based on the results of these studies, we have identified the need to consider an increase in proposed turbine numbers and an increase in proposed turbine height. As a result, we are working towards a request for an updated Scoping Opinion from the Scottish Ministers, which we expcect to submit in June 2019. The key changes to the proposed development are an increase in maximum number of turbines from 36 to 45 and increase in maximum turbine tip heightfrom 175 m to 180 m. Details of the update Scoping Report will be available at the Energy Consents web page (reference ECU00000555) shortly.
